Wanted a Norwich defender in to start against QPR, so Tierney starts alongside Cole and Lescott. Will discuss their merits against the front 7 later.
Attackers
The logic at the time I believe was that Petric was the only one with an away game beyond City. Stats would suggest that Wigan are expected to concede against Southampton, so he gets the bench treatment.
Conclusion: With only United not expecting to concede, 36 points is a relatively low score. Perhaps I'm expecting to overachieve here.
